dc.description.abstractДослідженням встановлено, що попри значні економічні труднощі, пов’язані з Першою світовою війною і розпадом Російської імперії, спортивне життя за Української Народної Республіки продовжувало розвивалося на ґрунті традицій попередніх років та отримало нові перспективи у своєму розвитку. Матеріали газети «Відродження» за 1918 рік вказують, що у молодій державі приділялася значну увагу національній освіті, у тому числі проводилася підготовка педагогічних кадрів з фізичного виховання. На той час на усіх теренах держави, у Києві та губернських містах і містечках, функціонували спортивні товариства як українські, так і національних меншин, які залучали громадян до занять різноманітними видами спорту. У спортивному русі та розвитку спорту в Українській Народній Республіці активно включалися не тільки різноманітні соціальні групи населення, у першу чергу, військові, але й жінки, які брали дієву участь в діяльності спортивних товариств, змаганнях, організації дитячих спортивних майданчиків за місцем проживання.
dc.description.abstract1Research has established that despite the significant economic difficulties associated with the First World War and the collapse of the Russian Empire, sports life under the Ukrainian People’s Republic continued to develop on the basis of the traditions of previous years and received new perspectives in its development. The materials of the newspaper «Renaissance» for the year 1918 indicate that in the young state considerable attention was paid to national education, including the training of pedagogical personnel in physical education. At that time, sports associations, both Ukrainian and national minorities, were functioning in all parts of the country, in Kyiv and provincial cities and towns, which involved citizens in various types of sports. In the sports movement and development of sports in the Ukrainian People’s Republic, not only various social groups of the population were actively involved, primarily the military, but also women who took an active part in the activities of sports associations, competitions, and the organization of children’s sports grounds at their place of residence.
