dc.description.abstract1The 2023 review of the IMO Strategy did not establish a complete cessation of greenhouse gas emissions in shipping by 2050. The revised 2023 Strategy addresses several critical issues, such as fuel standards for ships and the mechanism for pricing emissions. The implementation of new IMO requirements has been postponed, and the timelines for emission limits have been revised. Discussions have been initiated on the carbon levy rates and expanded coverage in terms of vessel types and capacities.
