Проведено дослідження співвідношення наративного і наукового знання в розумінні французького філософа Ж.-Ф. Ліотара. Встановлено, що Ж.Ф. Ліотар в своїх роботах обґрунтовував необхідність розрізнення знань наукового і наративного (ненаукового, традиційного). На його думку, з точки зору важливості для суспільства вони є рівноцінними. Розглянуто особливості прагматики наративного і наукового знання
Study on the correlation between narrative and scientific knowledge in the understanding of the French philosopher J.-F. Lyotard was held. J.-F. Liotard in his works justified the need to distinguish between scientific knowledge and narrative (non-scientific, traditional). In his opinion, from the point of view of the importance for society, they are equal. Features of pragmatics of narrative knowledge and scientific knowledge were considered. Determined that both generated sets of statements which obey certain rules. These rules are specific to each of them. It is impossible on the basis of scientific knowledge to judge the existence or value of narrative knowledge and vice versa: the relevant criteria are not the same. Peculiarities of relations of the considered types of knowledge to each other were analyzed. If narrative knowledge is tolerant of scientific concerns; it sees it only as a variety in the family of narrative cultures, scientific knowledge, on the contrary, refers the narrative to a different mentality: savage, primitive, underdeveloped, based on customs, authority, prejudice, and ideology.
